2022 Earth Hour
We live in a beautiful and unique planet. It’s the only planet in the universe that supports life.
However, human activities are now putting our planet in danger. Changing climate has a very
bad effect on our environment. The increasing concern gave rise to the idea of Earth hour.
It was first proposed by WWF in Sydney in 2007. Around 2.2 million people and 2000 businesses
participated in the first Earth Hour event.
This year, Evergreen Shipping Agency Philippines Corporation will again request the employees to
actively participate in this meaningful event this coming March 26, 2022 ( Saturday ) from 8:30 pm – 9: 30 p.m.
Everyone is encourage to switched off lights in their homes and workplaces for one ( 1 ) hour.
Other electric devices that are not also necessary can also be turned-off.
This simple act of gesture will be a great impact to increase awareness and to protect our mother nature
and lessen the global climate crisis that we are all experiencing for the present future generation.
